Equipment Needed

Before you can dive right in, you have to have the right equipment.

To go snorkeling you'll need a mask, snorkel tube, and fins. For the mask, there are basic, intermediate, and advanced masks. If you are a beginner, I would say to use a basic mask. If you are a serious snorkeler, then an advanced mask would be the best. Here is a link to the best beginner snorkel mask (to me):

Whoever you are, whatever level, I would recommend the dry snorkel. But there are also semi-dry snorkels, and traditional wet snorkels. I also have a link to what I think is the best snorkel:

Oceanic Ultra-Dry 2 Snorkel

And for the fins, there are open heeled and closed heeled. Those don't matter just pick whichever one is more comfortable to you. And of course, links to those:

open heeled:

close heeled:

To go scuba diving, you'll need a scuba mask, scuba regulator tank, scuba fins, and a wetsuit. There are three different types of scuba masks, single-lens masks, dual-lens masks, and frameless masks. You'll also need a regulator tank, fins, and a wetsuit. So all you need for both is a mask, fins, and something to help you breathe.
